Hard Hat News - Week of October 23-28

Week of October 23-28

COLLECTION RELOCATIONS

300's: The first part of the 300's are now shelved in the Quiet Zone. Some of the microfilm collection has been relocated to the old Literacy Office. Patrons will currently find The New York Times, OC Register, Wall Street Journal and Anaheim Bulletin there. The Los Angeles Times will be relocated to the room shortly, as will the reader/printers. The door will now remain open and unlocked during the day.

CLOSED STACKS

Some of the newspaper back issues have been relocated to the basement near the booklift. Most of the back issues are still browseable upstairs at this time.

REMINDERS

The media collections, both juvenile and adult, are all located in the same area.
The Adult magazine back issues not shelved beneath the binders of the new issues must be retrieved from the basement. Holdings have changed and the listings are being updated.
Young Adult back issues are also in need of retrieval from the basement.
COMING SOON

The former back room storage area of the History Room now has carpeting. As soon as the shelving is completed in the front room, then the rest of the Adult Collection moves will speed ahead.
