Hard Hat News
Week of November 27-Dec. 2
COLLECTION RELOCATIONS
Fiction, Mysteries, Science Fiction and Large Print materials are moving into the former Local History space beginning today. Some collections will be unavailable to patrons during this process. Staff should assist and retrieve items from any area closed to the public. The browsing patron will be the most impacted, so apologize and tell them the collections are being moved as quickly as possible. Additionally, more Nonfiction will start moving to the Quiet Zone as well as shelving is emptied of Fiction.
CLOSED STACKS
More newspaper back issues have been relocated to the basement near the booklift. Most of the back issues are still browseable upstairs at this time in a new location. There are at least three months of each newspaper still in the Quiet Zone. Older issues will need to be retrieved for patrons.
REMINDERS
The media collections, both juvenile and adult, are all located in the same area.
The Adult magazine back issues not shelved beneath the binders of the new issues must be retrieved from the basement. Holdings have changed and the listings are being updated.
Young Adult back issues are also in need of retrieval from the basement.
The microfilm has all been relocated to the former Literacy office along with a copy machine.
Signage is being created to help patrons find materials and understand the changes going on. If you feel a specific sign might be helpful to patrons, please contact Rick in Adult Services.
